Internship

Elephant Productions hires 3 interns every Fall, Summer and Spring. We seek out students who are dedicated and eager to gain hands-on experience working within the Austin film industry. This is a great opportunity to work side-by-side with seasoned professionals, make friends in the film and video community, and learn how a turn-key production house really works.
 
In addition to learning all facets of production, our interns are expected to demonstrate their capabilities and create a short student film of their own design. This project is mandatory. Interns will write, direct, produce, and edit the film but will be supervised and aided by our staff. Interns are required to find a non-profit organization and either do a documentary, marketing video, or PSA addressing the communication needs of that particular organization. Not only will an intern leave with a fully produced video to add to their resume, but they will be giving back to our community in a tangible way. Organizations that have participated are J.O.Y International, Paws of Austin, Hearts and Hooves, and the Groundwork Music Project.
 
This is an unpaid internship and an intern must come in between 15 to 20 hours a week and preferably in 5 hour increments. A vehicle is mandatory as well as a drive to do well and gain as much as one can from an internship.
